Acceptable Items for Roll-Off Containers are:

Note:
Unacceptable Items for Roll-Off Containers are:
A/C Units (with Freon)
Batteries
Chemicals
Drums/Barrels
Hazardous Waste

Why You Don't Want to Exceed the Weight Limit on a Roll-Off Dumpster:
If you think the dumpster may exceed the weight limit, you need to have a conversation with our team on how much your roll-off dumpster can hold without exceeding the weight capacity. It is best to have this conversation when the dumpster is delivered so our driver can see the material in question and tell you what the dumpster can and cannot handle. We know it is difficult for the average person to judge how much heavy materials will weigh in total in the dumpster. It is surprising how quickly material can reach 4 or 5 tons.
To give you an idea, a cubic yard (measuring 3-ft wide x 3-ft deep x 3-ft tall) of dry, loose dirt typically weighs around 2100 pounds which is about 1.05 tons. Keep in mind that wet dirt weighs a lot more than dry, loose dirt. If it is supposed to rain, make sure that you don't overfill the dumpster. We can always dump the roll-off dumpster and bring back to you if needed. There will be an extra charge for the second use of the dumpster but it likely will be cheaper than a separate second rental. Plus, this is much easier to deal with than having a load refused or left because of excessive weight (see below for additional information on that situation).
We can pick up dumpsters with these very heavy materials but they may need to only be filled 1/3 or 1/2 full so as not to exceed what our truck or trailer can handle. If we or our driver tells you what the dumpster can and cannot handle in regards to weight for the debris or material you need hauled away, we do make note of that in our system and you do need to follow those instructions. We have had customers ignore our instructions or try to be sneaky and hide heavier materials beneath other lighter debris, etc. Filling a dumpster 1/3 full with brick and sand and then filling the rest of the way with other construction debris will likely exceed weight capacity and is not acceptable. If we had already advised you on what the dumpster could and could not handle for your situation and you don't follow those instructions and exceed the weight anyway, we will be forced to refuse to haul that load away for you. You have to realize that trying to haul a dumpster exceeding the weight limit for our equipment can lead to a damaged dumpster, blown tires, ruined suspension, broken axles, bent frames, severe damage to the motor and transmission, plus the loss of revenue on being able to use that equipment for daily deliveries and pickups for what could be several weeks of repairs. We also run the risk of being fined by ODOT for exceeding weight limit for the vehicle or trailer. We just can't afford to push weight limits like that and expect to stay in business. We are able to keep our roll-off dumpster rates very affordable because we are careful to protect our equipment and not generate unexpected repairs or fine costs. We hope all our customers respect that and are willing to help us in these situations.
FYI, if we are forced to refuse to haul an excessive dumpster load of material away, you have two choices - 1) for you or your crew to remove the excessive material from the dumpster until it is within the acceptable weight limits, or 2) for us to be forced to dump the entire load at the dumpster location on your property. If you need time to remove the excessive material weight, it likely will cause a $75 charge for a return trip to pick up the dumpster. We don't want to deal with a situation like this so please call us in advance if you think there is a chance the weight may be too much and please don't push our limits or expect we will cave and haul it away anyway. Regardless of how nice we want to be, we will not risk damaging our equipment or having to pay ODOT fines for an excessive weight load. Failure to comply with dumpster weight limits will likely revoke your right to a refund on the dumpster rental as well. That is why we have you agree to the Terms & Conditions on the dumpster request form or at time of requesting one by phone. That form information and the terms & conditions are emailed to you when the form is completed. When in doubt, give us a call in advance. We are very willing to help you avoid problems if we have advance notice.
